The Sims 3 Mods Not Working

Sims 3!Hi, apologies if this is against the rules, but after struggling with the mods folder for forever I finally got two of them to show in the game - out of 7. 5 of them (including the ones that work) are NRaas mods. Overwatch and Career seem to display, but Master Controller, Story Progression, Tagger, and Woohooer (along with a couple of Wicked Whims) are not working - I don't even see a mod for Careers in the Packages folder.

I didn't add in the CC that I downloaded so that I can get the mods to work first (and I heard CC needs to be in a different location?)I'm pretty new to this and don't know anyone else that does it, please help! TIA - again this is for Sims 3. When you add or remove mods you need to delete cache files. Did you remember to do that?I don't think Sims 3 has Wicked Whims, those might be Sims 4 files which will confuse the game and can cause long loading times and other issues. Same goes for accidentally putting any Sims 2 files.Where CC goes depends on it's type. If it's a.Sims3pack it goes in the 'Downloads' folder and needs to be installed via Launcher or CC Magic to show up in the game.Package file go into 'Packages' folder.If that's confusing, there are plenty of videos on youtube about installing custom content.

(exmaple overwriting an XML file)A script is when something extra is added, probably written in Python.There is no 'unscripting' and 're-scripting' that just doesn't make sense.
