The Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement is designed to measure achievement and design remediation with one instrument. KTEA-II is an individually administered measure of academic achievement for ages 4 1/2 through 25. The Comprehensive Form covers a wide range of achievement domains and provides an analysis of students’ errors. The Manual explains how to administer, score, and interpret the KTEA-II Comprehensive Form, and describes its development, standardization, reliability, and validity. Norms for the Comprehensive Form subtests and composites are included in a separate volume, the Norms Book. Due to the expanded age range of the KTEA-II Comprehensive Form, the five retained subtests from the original K-TEA have been modified to allow for the testing of children and young adults from preschool-age through college-age. In addition, nine new subtests have been added to allow for assessment of a broad range of achievement domains and related skills. The KTEA-II Comprehensive Form has two independent, parallel forms (A and B). KTEA-II measures achievement in reading, mathematics, written language, and allows the examiner to administer a single subtest or any combination of subtests to assess achievement in one or more domains. The fourteen subtests are grouped into four domain composites: Reading, Mathematics, Written Language, and Oral Language.
