The current models have both FW400 and FW800 ports. FW800 is up to 30% faster then USB 2.0 at least by my tests with external FW800 / USB 2.0 drives.Sweet. Then all I need is the right cable. Does Firewire use the familiar male/female system for its cable plugs?

If I can pick up the right Firewire cable, I could save myself a LOT of time (namely the time it would take for me to clear an external HD and then install Leopard on it just for this. Though if I ever need to 'properly use' DiskWarrior for my own machine, I suppose I won't get around this. I'll have to order a new disc, I suppose).
